Students at Boston University Animate The Archive
Students animated their favorite item from The Archive
Almost 40 design students in a Kinetic Typography course at Boston University have researched items from the People’s Graphic Design Archive. Students are asked to animate a favorite item from The Archive, revealing the dynamism inherent in history. Guided by faculty members Mary Yang, Brockett Horne, and graduate assistants Dhwani Garg and Micaela Sato Bonelli, students offered an analysis of the grid, typography, and imagery from their selections to create storyboards that were developed into looping animations.
