“Neon Metamorphosis”

1020
This article is about experimentation of neon lights performed by Laurence A. Knox from Palo Alto, California. Through the stroboscopic spinning motion, he creates moving images of neon wheel: "What you do see is a constantly changing flow of vibrant, abstract pictures which form and change before your eyes. Because of the disc's rotation, images build one on top of the other. An arrow takes shape. It makes a few lazy loops, then shoots diagonally across the 'screen' to dissolve into a spectacular living mandala." (p 28).
