This image represents the boycott of the Beijing Olympics as a way to punish China for its handling of violence in Tibet.  Due to this boycott, Prince Charles said that he will skip the Olympics. He also supports Tibet's spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, who was living in exile since an uprising against China's rule in 1959. With all the protests made, a final concluding thought was made: “You are just thinking about the Games, not thinking about millions of people and freedom.”, said by a long-time Italian Olympic official, Luciano Bara.
