EXPO' 70

10

On January 17, 1967, a competition was held to nominate the official poster for the Osaka Expo, and the six nominated artists, Yoshio Hayasen, Takeshi Otaka, Kazumasa Nagai, Shigeo Fukuda, Takashi Kono, and Yusaku Kamekura, submitted a total of 28 works. Among them, Yusaku Kamekura's work was selected as the poster for the overseas market. The design symbolized the development of communication with 248 colorful lines radiating from the official symbol mark placed in the center. This poster won the ADC (Tokyo Art Directors Club) Gold Prize in 1967.
