David King’s original drawing for the Crass symbol was produced at Dial House in 1977. This is an early example of logos used by bands to establish their aesthetics and identity. Band logo marks became especially popular in the 1970s and 1980s global punk rock scenes. “We were one of the first outside the big boys like Ford to use a corporate logo so effectively.” Penny Rimbaud.
