This logo design was created by the London office of Interbrand. It was first revealed on May 31st, 1999. This Logo was created for the 2002 soccer world cup Japan Korea. For the first time in the history of the event, the logo featured the trophy of the world cup. It builds on the artistic principles of both countries, such as asymmetry, dynamism, and harmony according to Andy Milligan from Interbrand.
