Bit Burger Pils Coaster

This is a coaster from Germany picked up around the 1970s. On this coaster is a rather dapper man holding a glass of beer and written underneath is Bit Burger Pils, Bit Burguer being a popular german beer. The back of the coaster says “Bitte ein Bit!,” which rough translates to “One Moment Please!.” It is a single color and uses negative space to create form reminiscent of woodblock printing. The type is similar to black lettering on the front and cursive on the back.
