Hiroshima Appeals 1983 - Burning Butterflies

10

The Hiroshima Appeals poster series was designed by several famous Japanese graphic designers. The first one was designed by Yusaku Kamekura in 1983 as a powerful and striking image of a burning butterfly. Their wings were ablaze with flaming red and orange flames. The beauty and elegance of the images helped to diminish the horror and tragedy of war.
