Collaboration between the eminent French specialist on Trotsky, Pierre Broué, and the British designer David King. The photographic illustrations came mostly from the collection of King who also designed the entire publication. Published by E.D.I., Paris, France. Printed in two colours with the blacks of the chapter openings overprinted on red, a technique often used by King.
