In order to more strongly situate the Korean American Music Foundation activities in the cultural landscape of Los Angeles, Handbuilt went back to their mission statement which proposed a fusion of music and art. In the poster’s background, the balance of water and ink—complementary elements in fusion—references both Korean calligraphic culture and water as a metaphor for emotions.
