Pop Art Using Offset Printing
Ms. Hirabayashi created artwork that incorporates, in a collage-like manner, phenomena of the printing process that cannot be simulated on a computer. She incorporated a mixing of fluorescent colors, pearl inks, and pastel-toned spot colors with CMYK, while changing the combination of plates and inks, intentionally causing misregistration.
