Tanaka Ikko 田中一光: A Single White Dove 一羽の白い鳩

Titled: A Single White Dove 一羽の白い鳩 created in 1988, 103.2 x 72.9 cm screen print poster. This is Tanaka Ikko’s contribution to the Hiroshima Appeals poster campaign. Since the war each year, a graphic designer creates a poster reflecting the spirit of Hiroshima and the wishes for peace. The white dove is a universal sign of peace, and having the pure white bird in front of the image of the mushroom cloud represents the world's wish to abolish atomic weapons. His works include logos for Mujirushi Ryohin 無印良品, and the stationary store Loft.
