Porto. / New Identity for the City of Porto

1

The identity was commissioned to unify the communication of the city and the municipality under a single visual system. Instead of creating a static logo, the designers developed a flexible identity language capable of evolving over time.

The identity became internationally recognized because of its flexible modular system based on icons, grids, and adaptable graphic elements inspired by Porto’s urban texture, architecture, tiles, infrastructure, and street symbols.

It won several international design awards and is often studied as a benchmark in city branding and civic graphic identity systems.
