This work demonstrates Karel Martens’s innovative use of recycled printed materials as a substrate, merging history and graphic experimentation. By printing typographic forms directly onto a catalogue card linked to Gerrit Rietveld, Martens creates a layered dialogue between Dutch modernism, museum culture, and contemporary printmaking. The piece is a tactile and conceptual exploration of typography’s visual and historical dimensions.
