1684
The official mascot Hodori that represented the Seoul 1988 Olympics is a tiger, an animal that frequently appears in Korean traditional folk tales and legends. He is wearing a sangmo hat with a long paper (pi-ji) that is typically worn for a dance performances in Korean folk arts. In this poster, the flowy pi-ji forms into a letterform with Hodori's movement.
