Masuteru Aoba, born in 1939, was a Japanese graphic designer; he is known for his strong and bold posters. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, he designed several posters for environmental and non-violent activism. One poster is titled “Peace, be heard.” The poster is mainly a photograph of a pigeon, a simple but powerful image that holds a strong message. Aoba used bright colors with bold and short slogans.
