This is the CD Cover for Super Ape. Super Ape is one The Upsetters earlier albums. This is a Japanese Reissue of the Album that came out in 1976. The Upsetters is Band created by Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry that produces Dub and Reggae. Dub is a genre with sounds created from instruments called sirens and is similar to reggae but does not have much lyrics, it is more of a focal point on the beats. With references to Natty Dread, there are cultural implications of natty dread as it comes from nazarite's as said in the Hebrew Bible that those followers should not cut their hair. The original record cover for the album says Island where mango is written. Illustration done by Tony Wright.
The album cover features an illustration of a ‘super ape’ with a tree in his hand. There is text at the top reading The Upsetters in all caps with a sans serif, with Super Ape below it in yellow and green with a red outline. Dub it up blacker than dread is to the right of that text in Helvetica. Mango is written in all lowercase in a typeface that looks like somebody wrote it themselves. The spine of the CD is also in Helvetica. The back of the cover has a solid yellow background with a black sans serif reading the album name, the artist, and a track list below it, with credits below it in Helvetica.
