Philipp Eberhard Schrammen, an influential person in the Bauhaus, created this wooden figure. First, Sshrammen started as a student but got more involved with the Bauhaus when he became the chairman of the Student Committee, becoming a major contact and spokesman for his students. At first, he specialized in painting and drawing but after taking a one-year traineeship with a wood-turner, he developed a new artistic style with his works consisting more of wooden objects.

One of his wooden works is the “Mascot”.  This artwork integrated typical elements of Bauhaus design including basic geometric shapes and primary colors.
