Design Excellence: 50 Posters of the 80s
Documentation of "Design Excellence: 50 Posters of the 80s" curated by Gordon Salchow (1940–2019) and held at the Cress Gallery of Art at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). This exhibition and a corresponding symposium were produced as a recruitment effort for UTC's then new BFA program in Graphic Design. The catalog for the exhibition states that Salchow selected posters from juried competitions throughout the decade. He limited the selection to one poster per designer and to those which were designed for an American audience.
