Hiroshima Appeals “negative flashing light”

10

Susumu Endo is an art director and graphic designer. He is the member of both JAGDA and ADC. On March 11, 2011, the Fukushima nuclear disaster occurred. Shortly after, he was asked to create a Hiroshima Appeals poster. Visiting Hiroshima, he felt a unique tension before the Atomic Bomb Dome, imagining Fukushima's collapse. This moment shaped the design. Despite risks of triteness, he challenged himself. His sixth-grade grandson recognized the dome, prompting him to consider what his work could convey.
