Chinese Child with Soldier of the Imperial Japanese Army

9

This lithography was made to show the “orthodox East Asian culture”, that was going on during the 1939's. This poster was to give an example of what “peace” and “protection” was with the use of doves, smiling faces and a child. The colors also add to the world that Japan and China want, a world with out hatred and fear.  The Child is chinese and the soldier is Japanese to show that they are unified, with the five colored flag. All of the symbols in this poster are to move the public to believe that the two countries are getting along and looking towards a ideal future.
