PSU Strike Book
Portland State University has a long history of protest, strikes and acts of civil disobedience. This “PSU Strike Book” conveys the events of the May 11, 1970 PSU Strike as told by students to counteract the “distortions of the local media”. As outlined in the book, the strike was organized by the Strike Collective who were opposed to the US involvement in South East Asia, the use of nerve gas, racism, and previous police violence on the campuses of Kent State and others. The book also is a call to free Black Panther Bobby Seale, and covers national events that happened simultaneously.
