A series of NappyGram print. The phrase originated from the Greek philosopher, Heraclitus. This phrase was also used by Martin Luther King Jr.

This piece was also presented at the Hermes Gallery in Halifax.

The term "NappyGram" was coined from Amos Kennedy's personal experience at Indiana University, where a report referred to the hiring of “non-white” members instead of “colored” members.

The origin of NAPPY was both a critique and a humorous take on the issue of racial disparity within academic art departments.
