WALLS and BRIDGE

A series of NappyGram was created during Women's History Month. The print features a phrase from Angela Davis, a political activist and author. The figure depicted at the top of the postcard also represents Angela Davis, celebrating her contributions to civil rights and social justice.

The term "NappyGram" was coined from Amos Kennedy's personal experience at Indiana University, where a report referred to the hiring of “non-white” members instead of “colored” members.

The origin of NAPPY  was both a critique and a take on the issue of racial disparity within academic art departments.
