“Water for Life/A glass of water” (2005)

This is a poster designed by Katsumi Asaba for the Japan Graphic Designers Association, which won first place for raising awareness of water conservation and sustainability. This visual campaign is simple, featuring a glass of water with a unique black line on its side and a few rounded marks sticking out. Its emphasis is on simplicity and clarity. The minimal elements can convey purity, with the black line creating a subtle visual contrast to the main image of the glass of water.
