J&M Iron Bowl Ticket poster

The Iron Bowl is a major collegiate sporting event for the state of Alabama, Southeastern Conference, and within Auburn University. The Iron Bowl means more than just a football bowl game. It is what rivalry is all about, what football season is all about. There is so much history when it comes to Auburn vs Alabama rivalry. This ticket shows the original ticket that was sponsored by the Johnston & Malone bookstore. The hand drawn image on the center of the ticket is a significant style used for football advertising whether that be on posters, clothing, and more. 

A lot of ticketing today are digitalized, so the thought and details that used to go into ticketing design has decreased greatly. From the poster, this ticket is a big deal to this company to see their own company of an Iron Bowl ticket that thousands would see when they bought their tickets. The time and detail that went into this ticket can be seen through every stroke of the marker,  colored pencil, and even the sticker that was placed where the J&M logo is. Today, we do not even look at a ticket because it is just a QR code on our devices. There was so much more meaning into tickets back then like this one.
