Columbia Records 45 RPM Record

The label of the Manhattan's “Girl of my Dream” single is orange and gradually gradiates into yellow. The Columbia Records logo is a crossover of a record player and eye symbol and sits at the top of the record above the company name in a white sans serif typeface. Black sans serif type is used for the remaining text on the record, including the name of the artist and song. An illustration of a scorpion-like creature and unicorn-like creature appears on the left side of the label, the significance behind this, however, is unknown.

This label style was used by Columbia Records for a broad range of singles during this time period. Columbia Records is an American record label that is owned by Sony Music Entertainment. This ownership took place around the same time that this single was released.
