The Si Si (1956)
The Si Si is a yearbook for the Charlotte College. The Si Si features clubs, sports teams, and other school community related material. The Si Si had a publication run from the 1950's to the 1970's. The Si SI features the mascot of Charlotte College, the “Charlotte College Owl”, prominently on several pages throughout the book. The reason behind Charlotte College having an owl as a mascot was due to Charlotte College being a night school, so they came to be known as the owls. Eventually, Charlotte College would become UNC Charlotte, losing the owl mascot along with its former name.
