“Top Gun” Original DVD Release Pacakaging

DVD packaging for “Top Gun.” The movie was released in 1986 and starred Tom Cruise. This packaging is from the original DVD release which first went on sale in 1998. The packaging utilizes artwork from the original release theatrical poster from 1986.  The front cover features a portrait shot of Tom Cruise and co-star Kelly McGillis, which is backed by a blue-toned aerial photograph. The movie title and their names top the portrait in a sans serif type.
