Marvel Comics Thermos

This is a thermos from the Aladdin brand featuring characters from the Marvel Comics. It features Captain America, Spider-Man, and the Incredible Hulk.  Aladdin is a popular thermos and lunchbox company, originally founded in 1908 and known for creating the first character lunchbox. Character-themed lunchbox and thermoses became extremely popular in the 1950s and throughout the latter half of the 20th century. Previously, lunchboxes and thermoses were made of plain metal and did not vastly differ between designs for adults versus kids. However, the licensing of popular characters created a new market targeted towards children, who were excited to show off their favorite cartoon characters to their friends at lunch. This trend is still popular today and has expanded from lunchboxes and thermoses to matching backpacks, pencil cases, and other school materials. This thermos is also made of plastic compared to the traditional tin/metal materials, making it cheaper to mass produce and more durable for children to use.
