Menudo Album Cover

Menudo is a Puerto Rican boy band that was formed by producer Edgardo Díaz. During this time they were often referred to as the “most iconic Latino pop music band” by publications like BillboardSeventeen, and Teen Vogue. The group's popularity began to diminish after numerous allegations against Díaz began to surface. After the rights were sold, multiple iterations of the group developed until their official disbandment in 2002. This particular album cover utilizes photography and a bold, sans serif typeface to depict 80s pop culture. The bright yellow and purple colors are meant to highlight the image while the record’s name provides a sense of energy and uniqueness that relates to the music found within. The record’s simplicity and visual relationships are what make it the perfect example of successful product packaging.
