A 1959 sheet music book consisting of 22 pages of music issued “for use in Special Services Activities by ARMED FORCES personnel only.” The cover depicts an illustrated U.S. Military personnel judging a beauty contest looking surprised at contestant “Miss Moon.” The back cover contains a memorandum to entertainment directors instructing on requirements for performances. Labels at the bottom of each page mark the music for the U.S. Armed Forces only. This song book depicts the commitment to mid-century design in all facets of life. Among these is the cover of a limited issue songbook only seen by performers.
