Over 22 issues, beginning in 1975, Lightworks has offered a wide-angled focus on the varied forms of creativity . Special interest has been paid to a “near” history of the avant-garde including thematic issues on Fluxus, Gutai, Group Zero/Sky Art & Ray Johnson. Mail art, xerography, visual poetry and artists' publications have been mainstays.

This issue is devoted solely to the art and life of Ray Johnson. It includes an audio CD based on the video documentation of Ray by Nick Maravel. Contibutors to the issue: Richard C, William S.
