The California Type Foundry is an organization located in San Francisco, that publishes typefaces and releases new fonts. This book contains sets of type specimens, typefaces, along with a price list. There are also a few graphic elements such as arrows, stripes, stars, shapes, page boarders and more being displayed in the book. If any viewer wanted to purchase these typefaces, they would mail in a mail order and customers would then receive a “metal for long wear” with the typeface. This book isn't officially dated, but it does say the type foundry was “since 1941” and the price increase stamp was effective April 1, 1947.
