"Features work by Philip Kirkland. An article which briefly discusses the “San Diego Art Director’s campaign for recognition” which was aimed at local businesses as well as the community. Of all the hundreds of submissions, roughly half of those were selected and along with being shown at the Advertising and Sales Club, 100 works were displayed in a block-long window at the Marston Co. department stores.
