Colors was a quarterly magazine launched in 1991 by Benetton, Tibor Kalman, Oliviero Toscani, and Karrie Jacobs. It explored global issues such as race, migration, AIDS, consumerism, and death, crossing cultural and linguistic boundaries through bold imagery, provocative editorial content, and experimental graphic design. Combining documentary journalism with humour, visual shock, and unconventional storytelling, Colors challenged Eurocentric perspectives and the homogenisation of global media.
