Spread of Issue 2 of Neue Grafik

850

Neue Grafik was a Swiss graphic design magazine which spread ideas of Swiss style/modernism across the world. The designers behind this publication (Josef Müller-Brockmann, Hans Neuburg, Carlo Vivarelli, and Richard Paul Lohse) were well-respected and considered knowledgable on design greatness; artists who were featured in Neue Grafik were similarly praised and accredited. Graphic design in the era of the 1950s and 60s was becoming a more respectable practice, and Neue Grafik offered an opportunity for artists to garner notoriety by featuring their works.
