Rationing Means a Fair Share for All of Us
This poster was printed as a form of propaganda during WWII by the Office of Price Administration in 1943. The poster was used to demonstrate intolerable behavior during the course of the war. It was expected that people would consider those around them during these hard times, and ensure that as many people as possible would have access to basic necessities. By keeping those around them in mind, with something as basic as grocery shopping, people had to ability to create a sense of balance in an unknown period.
The Office of Price Administration was created in 1941 to direct rationing- ultimately helping maintain normal prices.
The poster is 22 in x 28 in.
