Eagles 45rpm Vinyl, Hotel California and New Kid in Town

This record is by the Eagles and the songs were released in 1976. The vinyl features two songs, “Hotel California” and “New Kid in Town”. Hotel California was the fifth studio album of the Eagles and included nine songs. The platinum album has sold over 32 million units worldwide. 

This 7 inch vinyl has a gold label that has small black dots speckled throughout, and are denser in some areas than others. Most of the typography is black and in a sans serif typeface. The asylum logo at the top has a three dimensional effect that is achieved by using the black dots as a shadow. The Spun Gold logo is on either side of the asylum in a white sans typeface.

The vinyl would have been made by pressing vinyl under intense heat and pressure, and then adding the label afterwards. There are slight grooves on each side that allow for different songs to be played by putting the vinyl on a record player. Millions of people would have listened to the Eagles iconic songs  by using a record player and a vinyl.
