This poster served as the cover of a calendar produced by the Third World Gay Revolution, which was organized in 1970 by Black and Latino members of the Gay Liberation Front. This is important as part of the broader analysis of art during the AIDS crisis in America, and the design history of the art during protest and political activism of the time feeds into the history of identity of design as well as the broader LGBTQ+ histories erased by the disease's resulting mass deaths.
