1960s CoCo Playbill

6

This 6in by 9in booklet was a reference guide to attendees of the 1970s and 60s Broadway play, “CoCo”. This booklet contains the cast, music, and acts for this still very well known play and person. The cover pictures a black and white image of the main actress in the play and the play’s title, “CoCo” written small in the bottom left corner. The top of the cover holds the well known yellow rectangle with “playbill" written within it. They were only made of paper and staples but contain all kinds of cultural elements from the 70s within type choice and advertisements. These booklets were used and even saved by theater enthusiasts almost as a time capsule, which contains type styles, art, and even advertisements that give us a glimpse into the design styles of the 60s and 70s.
