Yumeji Takehisa was born in 1884 on September 16th in Okayama. He grew up not having to worry about money and he loved to paint as a kid. Yumeji was one of the most successful graphic designer at the time. The magazine “hujin grafu” sold many copies due to his popularity. 

This work was created by wooden printing. His work was very popular among shojo (girls roughly 8-18 years old) at the time.  (source: Hukuriku Tyunichi shinbun)
