CLT Douglas International Airport Website

The screenshot shows the Charlotte Douglas International Airport website. Captured on 28 October 2010. We see multiple designed elements, such as the airport's old logo, links to Facebook, the only social media listed, and advertising for free wifi. The airport is owned and operated by the City of Charlotte. Established in 1935 and opened in 1936 as Charlotte Municipal Airport, its name was later changed to Douglas Municipal Airport, honoring former Mayor Ben Elbert Douglas, Sr. According to the New York Times article on Sept. 18, 2010, Charlotte became the headquarters city of the nation’s biggest banks. This means more business travels into Charlotte. Additionally, according to the Charlotte Observer article on December 30, 2010, the airport spent $10.5 million in upgrades. Once again, indication of growth and expansion.

I found the website on the Way Back Machine Website.
