Imagined as a supersonic hub by TWA and city leaders, Kansas City International Airport (KCIA) was seen as the “airport of the future” when it was built. The signage system captures that optimistic spirit by merging futurism with iconic Kansas City themes – from the Pony Express to Jazz. 2023 a new airport opened, and the signage system was redesigned.
