Movie advertisement poster of “Fahrenheit 9/11” of Michael Moore designed by Katsunori Aoki

10

This poster was created by Katsunori Aoki in 2004 for the new upcoming movie “Fahrenheit 911” by Michael Moore. The poster is made up of torn pieces of paper. If you take a closer look, you can see letters showing through the poster which means that Aoki created this poster on the back of a newspaper or some writings. In the middle of this poster, there is a small writing in Japanese that says “それは自由が燃える温度” which directly translates to “It is the temperature at which freedom burns.” hence why this poster may seem burnt and old. In this poster, the collage of the American flag dominates the majority of space while the movie title and other information are written in small letters at the bottom of this poster. Although a collage of an American flag dominates this poster, there is not much information on this poster on the American market which suggests that this was published specifically for the Japanese market in 2004.
