This is a Poster from an Avant Garde Period. This poster is advertising the release of "The Lantern with Peonies," a novel by Botan-Doroin, in the "Haiphong news." During this period, Vietnam was under French Indochina rule, and many French speakers resided there. This Vietnamese poster was printed in lithography in Hanoï. During the Avant Garde Period, there was an increase in how many advertisements were being made and what their style was developing into. This is an example of how the new style of avant-garde was playing into how Asian designers influenced the beauty and fashion industry. In Asia, they would make women the face of what fashion and beauty look like by displaying a certain and exotic way their makeup looks and their geometric style of clothes that represents the Big, bold, and colorful style of Avant-Garde.
