سیما مشتاقی (۱۳۳۹) طراحی را از دوران کودکی آغاز کرد و بزرگترین هدف او ان بود که  هنرمند بشود. او دردوران تحصیل از میدان نقش جهان عبورمی کرد که یکی از بزرگ ترین و تاریخی ترین میادین جهان  است.  اطراف این میدان  را بناهای زیبای دوران صفویه محصور کرده  که سرشار از نقاشی های دیواری طبیعت گرایانه، کتیبه های خوشنویسی، کاشی کاری و نقوش انتزاعی اسلامی است . گردآوری دیدگاه‌های هنرهای سنتی و مدرن در ذهن او، او را پس از پایان دبیرستان به سمت طراحی گرافیک سوق داد. او از سال ۱۳۶۳ به عنوان طراح گرافیک مشغول به کار است و از زمانی که اولین رایانه های مکنتاش اپل از طریق صنعت گرافیک واردایران  شد، کار در زمینه دیجیتال در زمینه گرافیک، طراحی فونت فارسی و تصویرسازی را آغاز کرد.
 

Sima Moshtaghi (1960) started drawing figures from early age and her greatest goal was to be an artist. In school years, she used to pass through Naghsh-e-Jahan Square, one of the greatest and historical squares in the world surrounded by beautiful buildings from Safavid era, rich in naturalistic wall paintings, calligraphy inscriptions, tiles and abstract Eslimi patterns. Collecting traditional and modern arts’ points of view in her mind, guided her to graphic design after high school. She has been working as a graphic designer since 1985 and started working in digital field in creating graphics, drawings, Persian fonts and illustrations when the first Apple Macintosh computers entered through graphic industry in Iran.
