AKUFEN concert poster

Twenty years ago the Canadian electronic musician Marc Leclair performed in Rome.  “AKUFEN,” on the upper part of the billboard, is Leclair's pseudonym and means tinnitus. The letters, on the lower part of the billboard, seem to spell “AND FEN PHUFEN,” for which I can find no meaning.  Maybe the ‘phrase’ is meant to signify electronic interference with language?  Though I did learn that INIT is the venue in Rome where AKUFEN played. In any case, the poster fractures letters  and language at the same time it aludes to fragile structures.
