"Overjoyed" By Gaia

This art piece was designed by Gaia. This project took over 18 months of planning and assistance from the community around it in order to provide this amazing design. Located between Greenmount West and Old Yorke road in Baltimore, it representants many people, on each side of the building, showing those who live in this area and how important they are to this area. The picture not only locals, but also represents part of Baltimore itself and how the culture is a huge melting pot of flavors. It shows different ethnicities, different forms of self representation, displaying groups which Baltimore is built off of. It shows the beauty of all things, not only in nature, but in the people around the nature as well, in different ages, styles and backgrounds. There was even a jazz performance, with flowers on its official debut, to show the mural. Bringing in people from many different forms of expression art, just as how Baltimore is a large pot of different ingredients. Only by working together can we  great not only a lovely warm meal, but an amazing place to call home
