The Book of the Stars

31

1926's The Book of the Stars by A. Frederick Collins showcases skillful use of diagrams and illustrations for learning purposes - especially useful for a book written to aid learning boy scouts.

This book includes many diagrams of stars, the solar system, planets, the moon, and how to observe the cosmos.  The numerous graphics provide insight into a mid 1920's understanding of astronomy - including the now quite humorous thought of the craters on the moon being volcanoes.
